  • Canyoning Guides (Assistants and Trip Leaders)
  • Office Manager
  • Operations Manager

Canyoning guides

Job details:

  • Multiple Assistant Guide and Trip Leader positions available, starting in October and November 2023
  • The season ends at the end of April 2024
  • Casual and part time options available for Assistant Guides
  • Minimum of 30 hours, maximum of 60 hours per week for Trip Leaders
  • Rotating roster which includes weekends and public holidays
  • Competitive pay according to experience and qualifications
  • In-house pre-season and ongoing training provided
  • Duties include guiding, teaching, driving and other operational work such as gear and site maintenance
  • Job is located in Motueka
  • Water taxi rides to get to work!!!

Requirements:

Canyoning Guides Abel Tasman

Before applying for a job you must be able to tick most of these boxes:

–provide cover letter, CV, Applicant details form, and relevant logbooks (rock, water, ropes)–

    • Plenty of personal and professional canyoning experience
    • Assistant Guides: at least NZOIA Canyon Leader or overseas equivalent, or strong commitment to get qualified
    • Trip Leaders: at least NZOIA Canyon 1, or Canyon 2 qualified (or overseas equivalent)
    • Trip Leaders: at least one season of canyoning guiding experience
    • Current Outdoor First Aid certificate, or higher
    • Clean NZ drivers license or ability to convert overseas licence
    • Passenger Endorsement for Trip Leaders
    • Ability to connect with people at different ages, cultures and backgrounds
    • Passion for sustainable and regenerative tourism
    • Great communication skills
    • Fluent written and spoken English
    • Honest, trustworthy and reliable
    • Strong work ethics

Office Manager

Job details:

  • Position starts in October
  • Position ends at the end of April (depending on how busy the season is)
  • Competitive pay according to experience and performance
  • In-house pre-season and ongoing training provided
  • Duties include managing bookings, marketing, emails and lead generation
  • Job is located in Motueka

Requirements:

Before applying for a job you must be able to tick most of these boxes:

–provide cover letter, CV, and Applicant details form

  • Marketing NINJA! (content creation / social media / CRM)
  • 2+ yrs of office / tourism / customer service / marketing experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Attention to detail
  • Clean NZ or international drivers license (P-endorsement is a bonus)
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Honest, trustworthy and reliable
  • Strong work ethics

Operations Manager

Job details:

  • Position starts in October
  • Position ends in March/April depending on how busy the end of our season is
  • Competitive pay according to experience and performance
  • Minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Duties include planning and organising bookings, safety management, staff supervision, staff training, gear and vehicle management, and other operational duties
  • Job is located in Motueka

Canyoning in the Abel Tasman National Park

Requirements:

Before applying for a job you must be able to tick most of these boxes:

–provide cover letter, CV, and Applicant details form

  • 2+ yrs of management experience
  • 2+ yrs of canyoning or related outdoor experience (of which at least one in New Zealand)
  • At least NZOIA Canyon 1, or Canyon 2 qualified (or overseas equivalent)
  • Current and in-depth knowledge of Safety Management in Adventure Tourism
  • Ability to coach, supervise and motivate a close knit team
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clean NZ drivers license (P-endorsement is a bonus)
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Honest, trustworthy and reliable
  • Strong work ethics
