Canyoning guides
Job details:
- Multiple Assistant Guide and Trip Leader positions available, starting in October and November 2026
- Season runs through to the end of April 2027
- Casual and part-time opportunities available for Assistant Guides
- Rotating roster which includes weekends and public holidays
- Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications
- Comprehensive pre-season and ongoing in-house training
- Duties include guiding, teaching, driving, equipment maintenance, and operational support
- Position based in Motueka
- Water taxi rides to work included!
Requirements:
Before applying for a job you must be able to tick most of the following boxes:
–provide cover letter, CV, Applicant details form, and relevant logbooks (rock, water, ropes)–

- Plenty of personal and professional canyoning experience
- Assistant Guides: at least NZOIA Canyon Leader (or overseas equivalent), or strong commitment to obtaining it
- Trip Leaders: NZOIA Canyon 1, or Canyon 2 qualification (or overseas equivalent)
- Trip Leaders: Minimum one season of canyon guiding experience
- Current Outdoor First Aid certificate (or higher)
- Clean NZ driver’s licence or ability to convert an overseas licence
- Passenger Endorsement for Trip Leaders
- Ability to connect with people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds
- Passion for sustainable and regenerative tourism
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable
- Strong work ethic

Office Manager

- Position ends at the end of April 2027 (subject to season demand)

- Duties include bookings management, customer service, marketing, social media, CRM management, email enquiries, and lead generation
- Position based in Motueka
Requirements:

- Marketing superstar with experience in content creation, social media, and CRM systems
- Minimum two years’ experience in office administration, tourism, customer service, or marketing

- Clean New Zealand or international driver’s licence (Passenger Endorsement is a bonus)
