Canyoning in New Zealand is obviously an adventure sport and therefore needs to be managed well. Aside from having a robust Safety Management System and always being on the lookout for hazards and improvements to the way we operate, we also get audited. An external audit organisation called AdventureMark checks in every year to see if all systems are still in order. Every third year they come out on a trip to see if we are still operating within our own safety procedure and national guidelines. It always makes for great discussions around what works well and what improvements we can make. Our Operation Manager Oscar (right) managed the whole process and got us passing with flying colours. Awesome to get the big TICK once again!
