The canyoning trip into Torrent River was a great success and we would like to thank the amazing people who joined us on the day. So far over $3500 has been raised. Canyoning for Ukraine
Over the last two months we have been following the war in Ukraine feeling heartbroken and helpless. Recently we met a wonderful woman named Nataliya from Ukraine right here in Motueka and we said, what can we do to help? Sitting around the table together we have decided to start fundraising for the people in need in Ukraine.
We are organising a fundraising trip into Torrent River on Saturday the 30th of April.
Thanks to the generous support of our partners Abel Tasman Aqua Taxi and Patisserie Royale (who won’t charge us for their services that day) we will be able to donate 100% of the proceeds (the full $289) to the Ohmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine.
THE OHMATDYT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL IN KYIV, UKRAINE
This hospital is the biggest Children’s hospital in Ukraine. And since the war started they have been treating wounded children and adults. During the active airstrikes in Kyiv the hospital remained open and functioning. They set up an underground bomb shelter and a secure surgery ward.

This canyoning trip is one of several fundraising events we are organising in Motueka.
We will also be raising money at the Motueka Sprig and Fern Pub Quiz on Thursday the 5th of May. So you could help by getting a team together and joining us that evening.
Furthermore, we will be organising a Ukraine Bake Sale at the Motueka Sunday Market on Sunday the 8th of May. So come on down to the Market to buy some delicious cake, slices or cookies. The perfect opportunity to buy some delicious treats for Mother’s day.
