Requirements (Guides):

- Plenty of personal and professional canyoning experience
- Preferably NZOIA Canyon Leader, Canyon 1 or Canyon 2 qualified (or overseas equivalent) or strong commitment to get qualified
- Current Outdoor First Aid certificate, or higher
- Clean NZ drivers license (P-endorsement is a bonus)
- Ability to connect with people at different ages, cultures and backgrounds
- Passion for sustainable and regenerative tourism
- Great communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable
- Strong work ethics
Canyoning Guides must be entitled to work in NZ to apply for a position at Abel Tasman Canyons.
Job details (Guides):
- Several positions available starting in October and November 2022
- The season ends at the end of April 2023
- Competitive pay according to experience and qualification
- In-house pre-season and ongoing training provided
- External qualification options offered on a case by case basis as an incentive for multiple season commitment
- Duties include guiding, teaching, driving and other operational work
- Water taxi rides to get to work!!!
Requirements (Booking and Marketing staff):

- 2+ yrs of office / tourism / customer service / marketing experience
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Marketing NINJA! (content creation / social media / CRM)
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Attention to detail
- Clean NZ drivers license (P-endorsement is a bonus)
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable
- Strong work ethics

- Duties include managing bookings, marketing, emails and lead generation
Requirements (Operations Manager):

- 2+ yrs of management experience
- 2+ yrs of canyoning or related outdoor experience
- Current and in-depth knowledge of Safety Management in Adventure Tourism
- Ability to coach, supervise and motivate a close knit team
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Clean NZ drivers license (P-endorsement is a bonus)
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable
- Strong work ethics
