Water Taxi Ride into the Abel Tasman National Park
The adventure begins as you board the water taxi from the car park, where a tractor will tow the boat to the water. From here, the skipper will cruise along the stunning Abel Tasman coastline, heading towards Anchorage Beach. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for the park’s incredible wildlife. This is the South Island at its best!
Beach to the Bush
Arriving at Anchorage Beach, it’s time to say ‘see ya later!’ to the water taxi. After a quick toilet break at the DOC hut, we’ll store any extra gear and valuables securely, ensuring you’re only carrying what you need. After a quick photo opportunity, we’ll make our way along the beach and through the bush to the canyon’s start. Along the way, your guides will share fascinating stories about this stunning part of the South Island and point out the local flora and fauna.
